Perth’s property market recorded a modest increase in activity over the past week, with more properties changing hands and the number of homes available for sale continuing to grow.
A total of 658 properties were sold, up 4.6% from the previous week. House and unit sales both recorded solid gains, while vacant land sales declined.
The suburbs with the highest number of sales for the week included Byford, Yokine, Scarborough, Baldivis and Subiaco, highlighting continued activity across a range of Perth locations.
Property listings also increased during the week, with 6,777 properties available for sale at week’s end. This was 4.1% higher than the previous week, 10.8% higher than four weeks ago and more than double the number of listings available at the same time last year.
The increase in available stock is providing buyers with more choice and reflects the gradual shift towards a more balanced sales market.
Perth’s rental market remained relatively steady over the past week.
There were 2,231 properties available for rent, just as the previous week. While rental listings have remained stable in recent weeks, they are still 7.0% lower than they were a year ago, indicating that rental supply continues to be relatively limited.
The suburbs recording the highest level of rental activity included Baldivis, Perth, West Perth, Belmont and Maylands.
During the week, 554 properties were leased across Perth. Leasing activity eased compared to recent weeks, although weekly figures can fluctuate and should be viewed as a short-term snapshot rather than a longer-term trend.
The latest figures show Perth’s property market continues to remain active.
Sales activity has strengthened slightly, more homes are becoming available for buyers, and rental supply remains below last year’s levels. While conditions continue to evolve, the market remains supported by steady demand across both the sales and rental sectors.
